Weekly Bulletin In addition to regular website updates, termly newsletter and frequent Twitter news, as from the beginning of this term we will produce a weekly School Bulletin to keep everyone updated on the events of the forthcoming week, reminders, school news and dates for the diary. The School Bulletin will be sent to parents via School Comms. The Bulletin will be published every Friday and, in addition to the School Comms message, it will also be uploaded on the school website.

WORKING AT THE NORTH SCHOOL

At the North School we aim to maximise the potential and future life chances of all our students and have extremely high expectations both inside and outside the classroom.  We have a traditional ethos centred around our belief that students should be able to learn in a well ordered and engaging environment and that they should attempt all their work to the very best of their ability.

Food Technology Teacher (full or part time considered)

SUPPORT STAFF VACANCIES: 

 

Examinations Officer - 37hrs per week : Term time only plus 10 additional days

Kent Range 6 :  £19,864 - £21,789 per annum FTE (pro-rata salary : £17,142 to £18,804, per annum)

 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Examinations Officer to provide high levels of organisation and accurate delivery of an exam season. This role requires absolute accuracy and the use of highly organised systems at all times. You must be an excellent communicator and have exceptional administrative and organisational skills.

Previous experience of working within a school environment would be an advantage and a genuine interest in working amongst young people is essential. Flexibility is crucial to meet the demands of a busy school as is the ability to build effective relationships with staff, governors and the whole school community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating as the school’s examinations officer and undertaking the associated administration including electronic entry and registration for courses for external qualifications, mock exams and internal exams.
  • To act as a focal point for examination queries, liaising with staff, students and/or parents as necessary and ensuring that all relevant documentation is processed in this regard.
  • To be aware of JCQ and exam board requirements and ensure that they are met.

The successful candidate should have excellent IT skills and familiarity with SIMS would be helpful.  This is an exciting opportunity and should you wish to be a part of our thriving school community we welcome your application.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive and committed person to join our highly regarded support team working both within our Specialist Resourced Provision for young people with ASD, The Laurel Centre, and supporting students in the mainstream school.

The Laurel Centre provides specialist support for students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and SEN to enable them to access learning in a mainstream school environment.

Applicants must be able to work collaboratively and have some prior experience of working with children or young adults. Experience of working with young people who have Down’s Syndrome would be an advantage.

Pastoral Support Assistant - 37hrs per week : Term time only plus 5 training days
