Weekly Bulletin In addition to regular website updates, termly newsletter and frequent Twitter news, as from the beginning of this term we will produce a weekly School Bulletin to keep everyone updated on the events of the forthcoming week, reminders, school news and dates for the diary. The School Bulletin will be sent to parents via School Comms. The Bulletin will be published every Friday and, in addition to the School Comms message, it will also be uploaded on the school website.

WORKING AT THE NORTH SCHOOL

At the North School we aim to maximise the potential and future life chances of all our students and have extremely high expectations both inside and outside the classroom.  We have a traditional ethos centred around our belief that students should be able to learn in a well ordered and engaging environment and that they should attempt all their work to the very best of their ability.

We are very proud of our collaboration with the Swale Academies Trust and together with the Trust we work relentlessly to continually improve the school experience for all our students.

Staff working at The North school are offered:

TEACHING VACANCIES: 

 

Science Teacher : MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

(There is the possibility of a significant TLR payment in respect of additional teaching and learning responsibilities for the right candidate)

The North School are looking for an outstanding practitioner and teacher of science with a proven track record of achievement in science to join our dynamic and high performing Science Department.  The successful candidate will be responsible for KS4 and outcomes, together with significant additional responsibilities within science.

The successful applicant should have an excellent grasp on good and outstanding teaching, be confident in their ability and able to consistently deliver effective lessons and learning with a positive approach up to KS5.  In return we can offer the full benefits of our excellent support and CPD programmes both internally and through Swale Academies Trust.

Applicants should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be hard working, flexible and professional.  They should have high expectations of students, colleagues and self, displaying energy and enthusiasm in and out of the classroom, contributing to the school’s overall success.  A willingness to contribute to other areas of school life would be welcome.

SUPPORT STAFF VACANCIES: 

 

Teaching Assistant :  32hrs per week, term time only

Kent Range 3 : £15,628 - £17,18 per annum (pro-rata salary equates to £11,415 - £12,543 per annum)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive and committed person to join our highly regarded support team working both within our Specialist resources provision for young people with ASD, The Laurel Centre and supporting students in the mainstream school.

The Laurel Centre provides specialist support for students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to enable them to access learning in a mainstream school environment.

Applicants must be able to work collaboratively and have some prior experience of working with children or young adults.  Experience of working with young people with ASD would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided.
