WORKING AT THE NORTH SCHOOL

At the North School we aim to maximise the potential and future life chances of all our students and have extremely high expectations both inside and outside the classroom.  We have a traditional ethos centred around our belief that students should be able to learn in a well ordered and engaging environment and that they should attempt all their work to the very best of their ability.

We are very proud of our collaboration with the Swale Academies Trust and together with the Trust we work relentlessly to continually improve the school experience for all our students.

TEACHING VACANCIES:

Health & Social Care Teacher (maternity cover)     :     MSP/UPS (dependant on experience)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and successful teacher to joing our school teaching health and social care to cover maternity leave.  The successful applicant should have an excellent graps on good and outstanding teaching, be confident in their ability and able to cinsistently deliver effective lessons and learnign with a positive approach up to KS5.  In return we can ofer the full benefits of our excellent support programme as outlined above.

Applicants should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be hard working, flexible and professional.  They should have high expectations of students, colleagues and self, displaying energy and enthusiasm in and out of the classroom, contributing to the school's overall success.  A willingness to contribute to other areas of school ife would be welcome.  Applications are welcome from both experienced and newly qualified teachers.

SUPPORT STAFF VACANCIES: 

 

Science Technican (maternity cover)     :     Required immediately

Term Time only – plus 5 training days  :  32hrs per week  :  Kent Range 4, £16,968 - £17,826 per annum (pro-rata salary : £12,101 - £12,712 per annum)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The North School as a Science Technician to cover maternity leave.  The successful candidate will be working within a strong and supportive team and will assist the Senior Science Technician with organising and providing equipment, chemicals and resources for class practicals, demonstrations and investigations for all year groups, including standardised GCSE assessment. The successful candidate will also provide some administrative support to departmental staff.

The successful candidate will have evidence of practical skills, ability and training in relation to the preparing of teaching resources and materials for science practicals. Have a basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and health and safety in relation to safe use of equipment. Candidates should also have adequate ICT based skills and knowledge.
