Weekly Bulletin: In addition to regular website updates, termly newsletter and frequent Twitter news, as from the beginning of this term we will produce a weekly School Bulletin to keep everyone updated on the events of the forthcoming week, reminders, school news and dates for the diary. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The North School as a Science Technician covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will be working within a strong and supportive team and will assist the Senior Science Technician with organising and providing equipment, chemicals and resources for class practicals, demonstrations and investigations for all year groups, including standardised GCSE assessment. The successful candidate will also provide some administrative support to departmental staff.
The successful candidate will have evidence of practical skills, ability and training in relation to the preparing of teaching resources and materials for science practicals. Have a basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and health and safety in relation to safe use of equipment. Candidates should also have adequate ICT based skills and knowledge.
In return we can offer excellent CPD opportunities and a supportive and friendly team to work with.
