We are thrilled to be trialling an exciting and innovative new web-based learning platform at THE NORTH SCHOOL. The platform is called CENTURY and it is being pioneered by several secondary schools in the U.K.

CENTURY is the first advanced platform to use artificial intelligence in education. It has been designed with outstanding teachers to provide students with a truly personalized, learning experience. CENTURY recommends the best topics for each individual student to study addresses any gaps in knowledge or skills. Meanwhile teachers have access to shared resources and real-time data insights into their students’ learning. It can be used both in class and also as a fantastic homework or revision tool.

As a school, we recognise the value of differentiated learning and the positive effect it has on improving outcomes. We are also aware of the importance of our teachers having instant access to students’ attainment data. CENTURY provides our teachers with insightful and actionable data. It allows us to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each student and see the progress they are making. This data informs swift interventions to both celebrate achievement and give support where required.

This new platform will allow teachers to have a constant overview of how each class is doing and in-depth insights into students’ strengths and weaknesses. More importantly, because CENTURY is adaptive, it constantly updates to recommend the best topics for students to study next, encouraging independent learning and meaning students can continue to make progress wherever they are.

We believe this to be an exciting step forward and we are thrilled to be at the forefront of pioneering the use of adaptive learning and big data analytics in schools. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. If you are interested in finding out more, take a look at CENTURY’s website: www.century.tech
